Georgia and her Mum have worked very well together
over the last 10 weeks. When I met Georgia and her Mum,
they felt they had tried everything to help Georgia to
lose weight, but nothing worked, they felt something
must be medically wrong
Georgia started the 10 week programme with a
really positive attitude and has remained focused
throughout the 10 weeks. She has been sensible
about the decisions she has made in order to lose
weight and applied what she has learnt in the sessions.
Georgia lost weight every week, even if she thought
she had had a bad week, she still continued to lose weight.
She lost 6kg altogether and 10cm around her waist.
Mum has said family members have commented on her
weight and her change in body shape.
"Georgia now knows to cut down on portion sizes
and rarely goes up for seconds like she always used to.
She sticks to just one plate of food.
Even though we still have a takeaway once a week,
Georgia makes healthy choices and always has salad with hers.
Georgia is more aware and confident about herself
and is delighted that her clothes now fit her better"
Georgia has said the changes she has made has been down
to her being in the right mind set and wanting to lose weight.
We are very keen for Georgia to be a role model for Alive ‘N’ Kicking
in Bristol and she will be working with one of our Physical
Activity Leaders on our Juniors programme, setting a good example
and encouraging other families to make healthy changes.
Georgia is also going to support families of a similar
age to herself on our Seniors programme as well as continue
with her own weight loss goals.
